Washing
You can wash your down jacket in your usual washing machine.
Use 1/2 capful of detergent without fabric softener on a 20°C wool program.
To ensure that your down jacket retains its loft during washing, we recommend washing it with other items of clothing, or using two clean tennis balls to aerate the Primaloft during washing.
Spinning
We recommend a single gentle spin cycle at a maximum of 600 rpm to prevent the Primaloft from caking together and forming hard-to-remove balls.
When you take your down jacket out of the washing machine, it's normal for it to be flattened by the passage of water.
It's during the drying stage that your down jacket will regain its fullness.
Drying
To aerate the filling and distribute it evenly in the bladders, we recommend tumble drying on a synthetic program.
Add two tennis balls or a sufficient quantity of clothing and run 2 or 3 drying cycles until the filling is completely dry and the bladders have regained their shape.
Don't hesitate to pat your down jacket between drying cycles to distribute the filling between the bladders.
Remarks
If you don't have a tumble dryer, dry your down jacket on a flat drying rack. Tap and turn the down jacket regularly to avoid the formation of small bundles in the plumes. However, it may take several days for the puffiness to return. Make sure both sides of the down jacket are open to the air.
WARNING: Never dry your down jacket on a radiator.
Washing
Machine wash with all zippers and velcro fasteners closed. Use only mild liquid detergent or a special detergent for sports products (no washing powder).
Do not use fabric softener (it damages the water-repellent treatment).
Run a wash cycle at 30° as indicated on the care labels sewn into the garment. And we recommend a double rinse to remove all traces of detergent.
Do not dry-clean, as this will permanently damage the garment's technical features.
Spinning
We recommend a single conventional spin cycle at 1200 rpm.
Drying
Gentle drying or ironing is also recommended to revive the garment's water repellency.
Remarks
To revive water repellency after 6 to 10 washes, you can use a special detergent or water-repellent treatment (available in specialized stores).
Regular care of your garment will help optimize its technical qualities (in particular, the evacuation of perspiration, which may no longer be possible if the membrane pores are blocked).
