Origins
In the early days, the two brothers designed their first models themselves. Ski suits designed for the practice of their passion. Combining technicality and style, they were designed in line with their values: a passion for the mountains and new glides, a desire for freedom and harmony with the environment.
The brand was very well received at the time, and quickly succeeded in establishing itself on the market, thanks in particular to partnerships with sporting events, which strengthened Sun Valley's reputation. With its brightly colored, easily recognizable wetsuits, the company quickly became a major player on the French market.
Surfwear style
At the beginning of 1986, Sun Valley continued its ascent and expanded its product range by developing a whole new universe: Surfwear.
Accompanied by the brand's first official logo, this new range was very well received. Evolving on the “fun” trend and driven by strong values such as travel, freedom and meeting new people, the brand has established itself as one of the leading players on the French market.
Season after season, the brand's development is propelled by numerous partnerships, such as the world-famous Biarritz Surf Festival. The brand also becomes official sponsor of the French Beach Volleyball Team.
Back to the origins
In the mid-1990s, when everything was going well for the brand, the two brothers, attached to their original passion, decided to return to the world of skiing. Perfect timing, since only a few months later, the ski craze was about to make a comeback.
Buoyed by the arrival of parabolic skis, the world of skiing is once again at the top of the trend and will rekindle the fervor of all enthusiasts. Sun Valley's ascent is meteoric. The new skiwear collection, equipped with new technological innovations such as the Gore-Tex® membrane, revolutionizes the market and opens up new horizons for Sun Valley.
Authentic style
The company is redesigning its commercial offering, and at the same time a new logo to accompany the launch of its new “Skiwear” and “casual” collections for the Autumn/Winter seasons, and a new “Beachwear” collection for the Spring/Summer seasons.
This marks the beginning of an era of travel, discovery and nature. Always based on its core values, Sun Valley sets itself apart and embarks on the road to success. The brand's performance is reflected in its ability to design and impose an authentic, innovative and recognizable style.
This is the origin of the global clothing concept that the brand is still developing today.
Sun Valley Team
In the 2000s, building on its experience and legitimacy in this field, the brand decided to develop a collection specializing in “Free Ride”, in line with its core values. A daring concept, which consists in practicing a sport outside any formal framework, associated with the pleasure of wide open natural spaces, risk-taking and the absence of competition.
It was during this period that the 17-member “Team Sun Valley” took shape, with Seb Michaud, David Allemoz and Julien Ruffier among the pioneers of the discipline, and the brand's colors shining brightly on slopes the world over.
Riding People©
In 2004, Sun Valley continued its ascent and became the official partner of the French mogul ski team, taking the brand to the top of the discipline.
In harmony with the brand and its desire to get off the beaten track and be wherever the mood takes it, “Team Sun Valley” travels to the four corners of the world to discover sometimes exotic destinations, chosen for their snow conditions, the change of scenery and the ever-enriching encounters with local populations.
From Canada to Kamchatka, via Alaska, Japan, India and Iran, the first images brought back from these “Ski Trips”, illustrating the brand's collections and values, made a lasting impression. The slogan “Riding People©” and the Sun Valley logo, now well-defined, became the hallmarks of the brand.

For almost 10 years, Team Sun Valley will travel around the world in search of exploration and new experiences. In 2010, the brand confirms its commitment to discovery and travel, and the slogan “Created for Freedom©” is added to the Sun Valley logo.

Ski trip
In 2010, Team Sun Valley set off for several days to discover the Moroccan countryside. A journey filled with unforgettable encounters and experiences.
In 2013, Team Sun Valley set off to conquer the mountains of Kamchatka. A veritable paradise for freeride skiers, this exceptional area offers an incredible playground.
Iran and its many mountain ranges was a destination of choice for 2014. This trip was an opportunity to push back limits and discover new horizons. Characteristics that are in line with the brand's philosophy.
Over 40 years of history
After more than 40 years in business, the brand has established itself as a benchmark in its sector. Today, the breadth of the Sun Valley wardrobe enables women and men to dress every day, whatever the season, in garments designed according to the same fundamentals as since its creation in 1983.
With the experience and reputation it has built up over the years, Sun Valley is now embarking on a genuine renewal.
